  • "My hope is that when you sit down in the room, you feel genuinely cared for and truly listened to. I value warmth, kindness, honesty, and the ability to bring a little humor into hard moments. I believe growth and healing often begin with reflecting honestly about the realities of our lives, and I want to help create a space where you feel supported enough to explore those things within the safety of a relationship where your story is met with empathy and curiosity."

Learn About Kim Josse, CMHC-I:

Kim is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. She brings several years of experience working in residential treatment with adolescent girls navigating complex trauma, attachment wounds, mood disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidality.

Through this work, Kim has learned the power of a regulated and compassionate presence and the importance of creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest about their experiences. She is particularly passionate about trauma recovery and the ways early relational experiences shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world.

Her work is informed by attachment theory and trauma-informed care, and she is especially interested in approaches that help individuals process unresolved experiences and reconnect with the parts of themselves that carry pain, protection, and resilience.

  • "Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and many people worry about being judged or misunderstood. My goal is to create a space where you can show up authentically. I believe much of the safety in therapy comes through the relationship we build together, and I want to take the time to really get to know you and your story.

I do not see therapy as a place to “fix” people. Instead, it can be an opportunity to understand the patterns that developed in response to difficult experiences and begin building new pathways forward. Many of the struggles people carry today began as ways their minds and bodies learned to protect them during painful or overwhelming moments.

Over time, many people begin to notice different parts of themselves that carry pain, protection, and resilience. Therapy can help you approach those parts with curiosity and compassion rather than shame, leading to deeper self-understanding and meaningful change and healing."  - Kim Josse, CMHC-I
