Accepting New clients
  • "Simply, this is what I love doing most. It is completely humbling to be invited into deeply personal walks through hardship, and I consider it the greatest honor. The stains of the past are pervasive in nearly everyone I have known, and yet, in their imperfections, their inadequacies, their pain, and their hurt, they are still so worth loving. Ironically, I would say those facets offer the most compelling reasons to love them.

I believe that therapy has the capacity to be utterly transformative, and I seek to merely be the guide who helps untangle the mess. My desire would be that each client feels a sense of support that encourages vulnerability and honesty, ultimately, leading to genuine growth, healing, hope, and joy."

"The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness and a deep loving concern." -Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

Learn About emma sees, aCMHC-i:

Emma Sees is currently in her second year at Colorado Christian University in the Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program with the intent of pursuing her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) designation following graduation. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2022. After graduation, Emma worked as a dermatological medical assistant to further her knowledge of the medical approach to human health while focusing on better understanding the crucial connection between psychological and physiological health and the ramifications of both on each other. She developed a passion for holistic care of the mind and body together and cares deeply for knowing the entirety of the person in front of her.

As a lifelong athlete, Emma is well-versed in the stressors and pressures of what being involved in competitive sports bring and desires to serve as someone who can truly and genuinely relate to performance-induced stress, injury-anxiety, relational strain, and the overabundance of self-esteem issues that can unfold. Emma is especially passionate about helping individuals suffering from eating disorders or any form of negative relationships surrounding food. Between her undergraduate experience in human biology and her training in the psychology behind the driving forces, she understands the complexity, nuance, and individuality present. Additionally, Emma feels strongly about the challenges that teenagers and young women face, and she is excited to be able to work with those demographics to create healthy boundaries, implement intentional habits, and break detrimental patterns as they transition into adulthood.

During her time as an intern therapist, Emma is hopeful to further her experience with a plethora of diverse clients carrying unique struggles and develop her approach to offer efficacious care that is centered around personalizing treatment to best suit the needs of the individual. She acknowledges the difficulty and bravery that seeking therapy entails, and she is honored to be able to walk alongside those who are in the midst of hardship. Emma prioritizes using therapeutic techniques that are founded in research but primarily seeks to allow the individual sitting across from her to inform the care.

In her free time, Emma is most likely skiing, hiking, baking, or exploring beautiful Utah with a camera in hand!
